Night Stay Program

Overnight Winter Shelter for Men, Women, & Families

Every night individuals and families experience homelessness in Suffolk. Every night these people–our neighbors–deal with hunger, insecurity, discomfort and fear. Every night there is an opportunity to show love to our neighbors.

Get Shelter

If you are experiencing homelessness and need shelter call the Regional Housing Crisis Hotline at 757-587-4202. The hotline is how a guest obtains a shelter referral.

The CAPS Night Stay Program will begin January 4, 2023 at the Salvation Army building, 400 Bank Street, Suffolk, VA 23434. Check-in will begin at 6:30 pm. Sex offender registry will be checked and all participants will be breathalyzed. For more information, call the Housing Crisis Hotline (757) 587-4202 or Jan Pruden (757) 286-9126.
